Description: These are the “bed and butter” of Laguna Woods with no one above and no one below – typically in 2 bedroom and 1.5 to 2 full bath in about 900 to 1,100 square feet (some are as big is 1,300 square feet) There is also one model of “Villa” style homes which is two story has 2 bedroom, 2 bath plus loft in about 1,300 sq. feet.

Description: These homes are also popular with 4 homes on the top floor and 4 homes on the bottom floor. Although one nice feature of the top floor is that the homes are built into a hill side, so upper level homes are entered from the “up hill side” so there is no steps! Some of these have great views because they are higher up and they all have basically 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths in about 1,050 sq. feet – so they are typically a little bigger than the “Villa” style homes and also a little less expensive because there are neighbors either above or below.

All tend to be larger than either the “Villa” or “4 x 4” style homes at around 1,200 sq. feet – If you want space and a view at AN EXCELLENT price, go with a Garden Villa! These lend to be popular with our New York transplants because they are already familiar with “building style” living! Californian’s are just discovering these now! There are 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and even 3 bedroom Garden Villas (at 1,500 sq. feet!)
